As from the 1st of  August , Hermanus Quad Rentals started operating from Southern Right Vineyard and Hamilton Russell.  They offer an exciting 2-hour route through the vineyards, with a spot of wine tasting and the most spectacular views over Fernkloof Nature Reserve, Grotto Beach and as far as the eye can see.

Nosy Rosy was invited to see for herself what Francois gets up to - and walked away from the outing with a new lease on life - it is such fun!
A truly exhilarating experience and guaranteed to get one out in the fresh open air on a regular basis. All the invited guests were virgin quaddies, believe it or not, and Francois patiently explained the workings of the luxury quads to every individual.
Packages offered will include outings for beginners and more experienced riders, what piqued my interest was the evening package, being able to do some stargazing!
Francois is a gentle taskmaster and instills confidence in the novice, Melissa Swarts from the Tourism Bureau will testify to this.
Storm Kreusch, manager of the Hermanus Tourism Bureau took to the experience like
a duck to water, manoeuvring her quad bike like a pro and Mannes from Schulphoek Guesthouse stayed at the rear to keep a vigil on the ladies in front.
After two hours of meandering, quite vigorously over rough terrains at times and then stopping to enjoy spectacular and sweeping views of Hermanus, we arrived back at our destination.
We were all on an adrenalin high, and everyone unanimously agreed - we will be back for more.

One of the awe-inspiring sights that will await you if you come to Hermanus from the city, is the brilliant display of a starry African night sky. With zero light-pollution around you, the heavens take on a whole new splendor, especially on a clear, moonless night. Take a closer look at the famous Southern Cross, Orion, Jupiter's moons, Saturn's rings, various stars, moon craters, even satellites and shooting stars. Your knowledgeable guide will make the night sky come alive to you with a spell-binding, interactive presentation.
